This Cookie Policy explains how mettafi.com (“the Site”) uses cookies and similar technologies. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy. The Site is operated by [MettaFi legal entity name — to be confirmed].

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to site operators. Similar technologies (such as local storage) work in comparable ways. In this policy, “cookies” refers to all of them.

3. Our approach to cookies

We keep cookies to a minimum. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or our own tracking on this Site. We do not build advertising profiles of you or follow you around the internet.

The cookies in use on mettafi.com fall into the categories below. The most significant third party is Calendly, our discovery-call scheduling tool, which is covered in detail in Section 5.

4. Cookies we use

Strictly necessary cookies

Required for the Site to function; cannot be switched off in our systems. Usually set only in response to actions you take (setting privacy preferences, navigating, submitting forms). They do not store personally identifiable information beyond what is needed to operate the Site, and do not require consent under most privacy laws.

Examples:

• Session and security tokens that keep the Site working correctly
• A cookie that remembers your cookie preferences

Functional storage (newsletter / waitlist signup)

When you join our mailing list or waitlist, our email provider (Brevo) may set a cookie or use local storage to manage the signup process and prevent duplicate submissions.

5. Calendly and the scheduling tool

We use Calendly to let you book a discovery call with us. Calendly is a third-party scheduling service. When you interact with our Calendly scheduler, Calendly sets its own cookies to provide and secure its service, remember your booking progress, and meet its own compliance requirements.

Important — how we handle the Calendly cookie banner:

Calendly normally displays its own cookie consent banner on embedded scheduling widgets. Because our Site already manages cookie preferences through our own consent mechanism, we have configured the embedded Calendly scheduler to suppress its separate banner (using Calendly's hide_gdpr_banner setting), so you are not asked to consent to cookies twice on the same page.

In line with Calendly's guidance, where we suppress the Calendly banner:

• We only load the Calendly scheduler after you have accepted non-essential (“performance”/functional) cookies through our own consent mechanism. Until you do, the Calendly scheduler is not loaded and its cookies are not set.
• Calendly uses cookies even when its banner is hidden, so by deferring its loading until you consent, we ensure its cookies are only set with your agreement.
• You can manage or withdraw this consent at any time through our cookie preferences (see Section 6). Withdrawing consent will stop the Calendly scheduler from loading on future visits until you consent again.

If you book directly on Calendly's own hosted page (rather than through our embedded scheduler), Calendly displays and manages its own cookie banner there, and its own cookie and privacy practices apply.

6. Managing your cookies

You can control cookies in two ways:

Through our cookie preferences: use the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer to review and change your choices at any time.

Through your browser: most browsers let you see stored cookies and delete them, block third-party cookies, block all cookies from particular sites, block all cookies, or delete all cookies when you close your browser. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the Site may not function correctly. Browser-specific instructions are published by each browser provider (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, and others).

7. Consent

Where required by law (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR and ePrivacy rules), we ask for your consent before setting any non-essential cookies, including those used by the embedded Calendly scheduler. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent. Because we do not use analytics or advertising cookies of our own, the consent burden on this Site is limited mainly to the Calendly functional cookies described in Section 5.

8. Third parties named in this policy

• Calendly (United States) — discovery-call scheduling; sets its own cookies (see Section 5).
• Brevo (European Union) — newsletter/waitlist; may set limited functional cookies.
• Vercel (United States) — hosting; may set strictly necessary operational cookies.

Each maintains its own cookie and privacy practices, described on their respective websites.
